Jean Hendry joins Whitehead Vizard
Whitehead Vizard is pleased to announce that Jean Hendry has joined the firm. Jean has been a locum since October 2007 but now joins in a permanent position.

Pat Lush Whitehead Vizard Solicitors Salisbury High Street solicitors, Whitehead Vizard, are pleased to announce that Jean Hendry has joined the firm's permanent team. Jean has been a locum with the firm since October 2007.

Jean's area of expertise is Land and Property Litigation, covering civil litigation, landlord and tenant work and bankruptcy proceedings.

She gained a first class honours degree in Law at Nottingham Trent University. Jean has five years experience with law firms in Southampton. She also has experience as a barrister, as a member of the Inner Temple.

Jean said: "I am working in a very interesting and complicated area of law which is seeing a rise in demand. As a result of the credit crunch, people are having trouble paying their rent. Landlords are becoming concerned and want advice."

Jean is proud to be working for Whitehead Vizard and says: "I value the culture here. As a firm, it is partner-led, big enough to have a wealth of expertise, but small enough for the personal touch. The client comes first which is very important."

"Salisbury is wonderfully historic place and many of our clients reflect that tradition. We have some high profile clients including the National Trust which I represented in the case of squatters at Coombe End Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, as reported in the national press.

The boathouse of this property is believed to have been the basis for the home of Ratty in Kenneth Graham's The Wind in the Willows. I am really looking forward to getting to know the local community," she adds.

Partner Andrew Hodder, said: "I am pleased to welcome Jean to Whitehead Vizard. Her expertise in land and property litigation, civil litigation, landlord and tenant work and bankruptcy proceedings means we have strength in depth across the firm."
