Salisbury Rugby Football Club 1st XV has signed Salisbury solicitors Whitehead Vizard as their main 1st XV shirt sponsors for the 2008/2009 season.

The deal is seen as key to the Castle Road Club as they aim for a promotion place from the South West Division 2 (East) this season.

Salisbury Rugby Club Chairman Brian Weatherley commented today: "We are very pleased to be signing our main 1st XV shirt sponsors for the 2008/2009 season and that Whitehead Vizard has affirmed its commitment to Salisbury Rugby Club."

"This sponsorship, together with the other sponsorship deals we have agreed with local companies, provides us with a financial foundation which will benefit the Club as a whole.

We can look forward to a great season ahead as a result of Whitehead Vizard's sponsorship." Whitehead Vizard partner Andrew Hodder said the opportunity arose at Salisbury Rugby Club's Sponsors Evening on 11th June and was an opportunity "too good to let go".
