Salisbury solicitors, Whitehead Vizard, are pleased to announce that Catherine Turner has joined the firm's permanent team.

Catherine’s area of expertise is Family Law, covering issues such as divorce, finances, children, co-habitation, civil partnerships and pre/post nuptial agreements.

She gained her degree in Law at the University of Central Lancashire and then completed her LPC at the University of the West of England. She has joined Whitehead Vizard from Sylvester Mackett in Trowbridge where she spent 4 years, first as a Legal Assistant and then qualified as a solicitor in November 2008.

The Christmas period is a very busy time for family law and Catherine is keen to give advice on how to survive this often difficult time. She adds:

“I am particularly aware of the strain Christmas can put on relationships which are already reaching breaking point. Spending time with in-laws and having to maintain a happy atmosphere can be extremely difficult. When things begin to get too much, give yourself a break and create some space. Encourage the children to spend time with other family members. If things don’t improve, find out your options by seeking some advice.”
